Can I place a request on a library item?

Some CCSF Library items may be requested, but not all.

Answer

Students registered in the current semester can place a request on many library items.

Course reserves (such as textbooks) cannot be requested.

To place a request on a library item:

  1. Use OneSearch on the library website to search for the item
  2. Click on the title of your item in the OneSearch result list
  3. Click "Sign In" and use your RAM ID credentials to log in
  4. Click the "Request" button
    • Note: Course reserves (aka textbooks) cannot be requested, therefore, no request button will appear. They are available on-site on a first come, first served basis.
  5. Select the location where you will pick up the item from the dropdown options and send the form.
  6. Check your CCSFmail account for updates on your request. It may take the library a week to prepare your item due to a high volume of requests received.
