How do I request a book from LACC to be put on hold for me?

You can request a book from the LACC Library (or any of the 9 LACCD campus libraries) to be put on hold for you at the LACC Circulation Desk for pickup.

1. Find your book using the LACC Library OneSearch.

2. Click on the title of the book. Look for the yellow “Get It” bar in the middle of the page. Click Sign In to log into your library account.

3. You will be redirected to the Student Portal login screen. Login as you normally would for Canvas. If needed, use the help link located underneath the login boxes.

4. Once you are logged in, you will be redirected back to OneSearch and you will see that the yellow Get It bar has been replaced by a Request link. Click Request to place a hold on the book.

5. To complete your request, click the orange Send Request button.

The LACC Library will send an email to your LACCD student email account when your holds are ready to be picked up at the front circulation desk.
