I need help finding scholarly articles.

Answer

You can access all of our databases from the Miramar College Library website. We've got them listed by topic in these two pages: multi-subject databases or subject specific databases.

Select a database that matches your needs or the topics you are working on. Brainstorm keywords that describe your topic and try to come up with 3-5. Put them into the search boxes. Once you have your results, refine or filter down to just the scholarly articles. Almost all databases will have a place where you can narrow down results to Scholarly or Peer reviewed articles.

When accessing databases from off-campus, Miramar students, faculty and staff will need to log in first.

Students: Use your student ID and password (the same as the mySDCCD portal) to log in.

Employees: Use your email address and Windows credentials.

While physically on campus or in the library, you will not need to log in.
