Does the library offer space for students to join classes on Zoom?
Answer
The San Marcos Library does not have spaces for individual Zoom sessions. Groups of 2 or more students are welcome to use a group study room on the 4th floor for Zoom or study sessions; these rooms may be reserved ahead of time.
Since the library 1st floor is not a quiet study zone, individual students are welcome to use Zoom in the lobby area or use the study pods at the back of the room. Headsets are available for checkout at the library Information Desk. If a student requires a 1st floor library computer for a zoom session, we ask that you choose a computer near the back of the room to minimize disruption to other students.
The Academic Technology Resources Center (ATRC) provides 2 study rooms on the San Marcos campus in the H building in room H102. 1-5 students are permitted in each room; there is no time limit but the rooms are first-come, first-served.
