If you are looking for journals, start with the library OneSearch. At the top of the catalog search, there is a link to the Journals search page. There, you can either search for a journal name directly, or select a subject category on the left. Click the arrows next to the categories to expand them and drill down to more specific topics. Click on it to see all the available journals in that category.
When you find the journal you want, click on the title. Then, select a database link under View Online to see the journal landing page. You can then choose an issue to browse, or use the search bar to search inside the journal for an article.
Note that journals are not the same thing as journal articles. Like magazines, one journal contains many articles, so while an article might focus on a very specific topic, a journal will be have a broader scope to accommodate all the different articles inside it. For best results when searching for journal titles, use one or two basic terms such as "shakespeare." To find an article on a more specific topic, use the article search instead, along with more specific search terms like "gender AND twelfth night AND shakespeare."
